Ammanda Partridge
Ammanda Partridge, Owner of Elements Hair Studio & Day Spa receives 2023 Whitehorse Chamber of Commerce Business Leader Award
Ammanda Partridge has nearly twenty years of experience in the esthetics industry.
She owns a popular hair and spa in Whitehorse, the traditional territories of the Ta'an Kwäch'än Council and the Kwanlin Dün First Nation that has operated for nearly a decade.
Ammanda believes everyone deserves a little pampering. That’s why she regularly volunteers her services at festivals and events hosted by First Nations communities.
In 2023, Ammanda was awarded the Whitehorse Chamber of Commerce's Business Leader of the Year for her commitment to strengthening the community.
Ammanda also contributes to the esthetics industry nationally, holding a position as a national technical committee member for Skills Canada National Competition.
As the Yukon representative for the esthetics trade competition, Ammanda will help design the contest for competing estheticians.
Ammanda founded Elements Esthetics Academy, the first and only esthetics school in the Yukon, to open doors to a career that has brought immense value to her personal life.
Inspired by friends and family with neurodiversity, Ammanda is driven to make the academy a place for all kinds of learners so everyone who wants to learn about beauty and wellness has the chance.

Commonly asked questions about our esthetics courses.

Single esthetics skill courses are condensed esthetics skills training courses that result in a certificate for completion. Basic single esthetics skill courses can be prerequisites for advance single skill courses.
For example:
To take the Advanced Microneedling Facial Course, you must have your Fundamentals of Facials and Skin Care certificate.
Hours contributed to single skill courses for the following skills can always be applied to the Yukon Esthetics Diploma Program. Specifically,
-Manicure
-Pedicure
-Waxing
-Makeup, tinting, lifting and lamination
-Relaxation massage and body treatments
-Facials -
All courses are under 40 hours and range from 1 to 5 days.

Basic courses teach you the fundamentals of an esthetics skill needed to confidently perform it on clients. You must successfully receive the basic course certification before qualifying for an advanced course of that same skill.
For example, to take the Advanced Waxing Course, you must complete the fundamentals of waxing certificate.

Yes! If you pass, you will be assessed to see your skill competency, and we will grant you access to an advanced course. Assessment fees may apply.

Yes. Your practicum hours from courses can be credited toward the required hours to receive your Esthetics Diploma. For example, if you have completed 60 hours of single skill programming, your diploma may be shortened by up to 60 hours if a student pursues the diploma program within 1 year of single skill programming.
